The Black Bog Fuzz is a Big Muff circuit that is a sort of modernized homage to the type of fuzz you might hear from bands like Fu Manchu, only this fuzz can turn that hairy sound into more of an almost-blow-your-speakers-apart sound.

The best part about this fuzz is that even when you have the fuzz turned all the way up every note cuts through the mix, even using darker tone settings. The frequency response has been tuned so that on one side of the tone knob the highs will cut through, while on the other side instead of simply cutting out the highs like some tone knobs, this one introduces a low end growl that can be addicting if you like feeling your tone through all of your bones.

When sampling different fuzz pedals throughout my personal history as a guitar player I’ve always felt one thing as missing after getting a few weeks of use in - more volume. As guitar players we will always find ourselves turning our volume knobs up on whatever piece of gear we have, or fighting with the volume vs the gain.. So I’ve made sure this one has enough of both volume and gain on tap that if you like you volume so high it feels like something is about to blow up, this can get you there Conversely, you can also still set the gain to the lower settings to get a more of an overdrive edging towards fuzz.
